On sunday 30th March our u10 Boys and u10 Girls took part in the Midlands In2 Hockey Finals.
Congratulations to our u10 Girls who were crowned Midland Champions for the 1st time in the clubs history! After topping their group in style the girls beat Towcester 2-0 in the 1/4 Finals before edging out Bridgnorth on penalties in the Semi-Final. In the Final the Girls went 2-0 up against Repton before they were pegged back to 2-2 with the game going to penalties. After each player had scored to make it 3-3 we entered sudden death where a fine save from our goal keeper secured a 4-3 victory.
Congratulations to the boys who finished an impressive 3rd place. After winning their group without conceding a goal, the boys won their 1/4 Final before going out in the Semi-Finals to eventual winners Telford. In the 3rd/4th they beat Belper 2-0 to secure 3rd place.
A fantastic achievement for both sides and recognition that we are the only club in the Midlands with a team in the Semi-Finals of both Genders.
Massive well done to all players involved and special thanks to all the parents coach volunteers who stepped up to support the teams. 💙💛#Futurestars
